Blessing Yourself

Blessing yourself and all of the feelings you have about yourself
is among the most effective ways to become more whole.

The act of turning the good you see in others back onto yourself
will reveal a path towards comprehending your divine nature.

Blessing yourself takes nothing away from anyone.
It does not diminish externally perceived beauty.

Self blessing is a way of feeling the circular nature of existence.

All that you judge to be good, or special outside of you is also contained within you.
This statement is true whether you choose to believe it or not.

By being willing to give yourself blessings freely, you bring about a force that cultivates more goodness for all.
This force is the recognition of your divine nature.

In this very moment, consider finding one thing about you that you can bless.
Reflect on how this thing affects those in your life.

As you see beauty in others say to yourself; "What I see in you is in me."
Each soul we encounter is but a mirror.
All is connected. All is one.

The Return to Joy

Joy is your natural state of being. All emotional roads eventually lead you back to joy. As your soul directly reflects the divine, joy reminds you time and time again of your true essence.

Each pressure and discomfort you experience tells of a way you may return to joy. This path is that of allowance. Accepting what is in front of you as a path to either resist or return to joy.

Which direction you take on this path is always up to you and interestingly will eventually lead you back to the same place. What is different is the length of time it takes to return.

This Moment is Sacred

Each moment of your life is sacred. The miracle of your existence is always available to you through this recognition.

Your senses give you ample opportunity to experience this sacredness. Let your analyzing mind begin to quiet and direct your awareness to what you are experiencing through your physical body. Look deeply into your surroundings. See the exquisite detail within anything in your field of vision. Listen closely to all of the sound around you, taking time to notice each individual sound as it happens. Feel your breath move slowly in and out of your body. Notice if you can feel your heart beating in your chest.

The moment you are in is sacred. In fact, the ebb and flow of your entire life- including the high points as well as the boredom is sacred. It only takes a few moments of holding your breath to realize the extent to which your life is meaningful to you.

You are being invited to sharpen your perception of how significant the potential in each of your moments is. This focus is a valuable way of aligning with the sacredness of all that is.

Consider using the following phrase as a prayer or mantra you can say to yourself throughout the day:

"This moment is sacred".

As you practice this, notice how this re-focusing of your moment affects your perception of it.

You may even want to consider expanding this thought further to include each person you come into contact with:

 "This person is sacred."

Sacredness is another way of saying divine. Witnessing the sacredness in all- including yourself is a clear path to understanding how ALL is indeed ONE.

Being Fully "In Love"

You are being asked at this point in time to expand your idea of what being "in love" means. In your culture, being "in love" is often coupled with the ideas of romance, sexuality, caring and even ecstasy. While you may certainly access loving energy in these ways, they are, in and of themselves, only a part of a much wider possibility.

Love is a frequency of energy. It contains within it all creative potential. This frequency is your direct line to the source of All That Is or God. In a way that is similar to changing the channel on a TV set, you have an inborn ability to "tune in" to this frequency any time you choose to. Conversely, you can just as easily "tune in" to other frequencies such as fear and even hate.

Being "in love" is the main way of remembering that "you", in fact, are connected with everything and everyone. The frequency of love is the web upon which your reality is built. It is the foundation frequency that gives rise to all manifestation.
When Jesus said "Love one another", he was reminding you of your ability to tune into this frequency and find it in anyone.

To expand your capacity to feel more love, begin to witness anyone you encounter and say to you yourself, "they too are a part of me". Do this with anyone and everyone. Begin to see your surroundings, both manmade and natural, in the same way- "this too is a part of me". Remind yourself that it is impossible to be disconnected from love because you are made of it.

Be assured that any frequency that is not love cannot survive in the lightness of love. You may actively participate in bringing more light to the world simply by remembering that you, and all else are divine expressions of the frequency of love.

Raising Your Vibration

Much of what we are experiencing on the planet now has to do with a push towards exponential human evolution. Though our condition has always been one of consistent change, the time has come for that change to happen more rapidly. As we all know, our reactions to change are often accompanied by resistance. This resistance is our natural defense mechanism designed to keep you safe. The paradox is that to evolve involves taking risks, which inherently feels unsafe.

The main work each of us has to do at this point in time directly involves confronting those aspects of life that need to change and then to actively and briskly change them.

Raising your vibration is another way of saying, “let go of your fear”. On a practical level, there are some key things you may consider doing that will EASE the discomfort of your fears as they arise.

  1. CONNECT with others who are choosing to do their inner work. Act as sounding boards for each other. Listen to and witness each other. Find ways to physically meet together in a joyful way. These connections are an invaluable way of both offering and getting the crucial support each of you may desire.
  2. BE IN NATURE. Go for walks outdoors, get your feet in the grass, breathe sunlight into your heart.
  3. TALK with the divine. Whatever word you choose, whether it is the Universe, Great Spirit, God, higher self etc. is inconsequential. Now is the time to open, reopen or continue your connection with that which is beyond your daily drama and life roles. Consider talking/praying as if you are speaking to an old friend (very old indeed!). Ask questions, ask for help, and offer gratitude.
  4. LISTEN. Quiet your mind through any technique you know; deep breathing, walking, meditation, yoga, chant, drumming.... Find ways, even if it is only for short periods per day to listen without expectations.
  5. ACT on intuitive information. Once per day, consider making a conscious choice to “go with your gut” and take notice if and how your life begins to shift.
Though there may be times when you feel utterly alone and flailing, remember that all discomfort is temporary AND that you are stronger than it.

PS: Remember to look back down the mountain once in a while to see just how far you’ve come.

Expansion Through Softening

The way of peace involves consciously softening your being.
True strength is developed in the practice of softening.
To soften is to deliberately relax and expand yourself.

Imagine this expansion as a flower unfolding from a bud.
As the flower expands, it becomes more beautiful, colorful and vibrant.
You can physically see the life in it the more it unfolds.

The hardened bud is alive too, though the full potential of it remains hidden in it's constriction. Extremes of heat and coldness eventually extinguish the potential of a life of vibrance all together.

In contrast to the flower, you have a choice as to whether you unfold or not.
Consider how your choices support or constrain your full expansion.

Enjoy the day.

What is Your Word for 2015?

A Simple New Year's Resolution

Happy New Year and welcome to my new blog!

Some friends and I have been doing this tradition for a couple of years with surprising success and I thought you might be interested in getting in on the fun. Basically, the idea is to come up with just one word... (Yep, only one!) that most sums up what you would like to bring to your life in the new year.

I use my word as a reminder each day through the year just to keep me on track. For example, this past year my word was "fruition". Over the past 12 months, my word reminded me to prioritize and focus on completing big projects like my first book and an online learning library. Though "fruition" is just one simple word, I found the effects of remembering it each day to be profoundly positive and helpful.

I think of my "word of the year" as an easy way to cut through the clutter and make meaningful change for myself.

I'll start: My word for 2015 is "Phenomenal".
I want to feel and be phenomenal in my health, home, relationships and creativity. I also want to spread this feeling to each person I encounter and embody it within all that I offer the world.

So... if you're in...
Would you tell me please,
What is your word for 2015? I gotta know...

Just leave a comment below to join the party...

May your 2015 be Phenomenal.
